The company was established in 1991. From the very beginning of its existence, the company has been focusing primarily on manufacturing activities in the area of mechanical engineering. There was a lot to learn for us, particularly as concerned the cooperation with foreign partners as originally the company was not prepared sufficiently to develop direct relationships. Also, the manufacturing profile has changed several times. At the beginning, the company focused on manufacture of final products such as special vessels with frames for army corps of engineers in cooperation with the OMNIPOL PRAHA company. Gradually, the life made us to sell work through various manufacturing cooperation projects, i.e., the company decided to specialize in manufacture of components for building, earth-moving, and digging machines. We also started to manufacture steel components for various technological equipment such as floatation treatment plants and similar products. The company has cooperated within the licenced manufacture of products for shipbuilding industry, e.g., extensible wheel house parts, lifeboat system moving parts for seagoing ships, manufacture of aluminium wheel houses, mast equipment, foldable stairs, etc.

On 1 January 1998, the company was transformed into ALT, a.s. and has been carrying out its activities as a joint-stock company. The company has remained a 100 % private company and has been continuously searching for suitable ways of expansion in order to increase its performance and productivity.
